    Default Browser Redirect (niheradomen.com)

Quick bit of info. I work as a systems administrator and have worked with HJT, Spybot S&D, Avast, Ad-Aware and many other anti-mal/spy ware programs before. But this dumb little redirect has me stumped. I've been through the sticky and followed it's instructions.

It's a Win XP machine, I've run the anti- spy/mal ware mentioned above. Nothing changed. Only Firefox (My usual browser) is affected. IE7 and Chrome have no issues. It redirects after a search query with at least Google and Yahoo search engines. Thanks for looking and helping.

    HJT LOG:

Welcome to Safer Networking, I wish to be sure you have viewed and understand this information.
"BEFORE you POST" (READ this Procedure before Requesting Assistance) http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288
All advice given is taken at your own risk.
Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.

You must have read and followed the "Before you Post" instructions.

Read the directions again, since you missed instructions to disable TeaTimer, make sure you missed nothing else you need to know.

I can not promise fast or easy, if you still will to proceed we will start like this.

    1) Keep the computer offline except when troubleshooting until we locate and remove the malware.

    2) We need first to disable TeaTimer that it doesn't interfere with fixes. You can re-enable it when you're clean again:
    * Run Spybot-S&D in Advanced Mode.
    * If it is not already set to do this Go to the Mode menu select "Advanced Mode"
    * On the left hand side, Click on Tools
    * Then click on the Resident Icon in the List
    * Uncheck "Resident TeaTimer" and OK any prompts.
    * Restart your computer.
(leave TT disabled until we finish)

    3) Disable Ad-Watch for now, enable it again when we finish.
Right click on the Ad-Watch icon in the system tray.
At the bottom of the screen there will be two checkable items called "Active" and "Automatic".
Active: This will turn Ad-Watch On\Off without closing it
Automatic: Suspicious activity will be blocked automatically
    Uncheck both of those boxes.

    4) Thanks to jpshortstuff

Please download GooredFix and save it to your Desktop.
    http://jpshortstuff.247fixes.com/GooredFix.exe
    Double-click Goored.exe to run it.
Select 1. Find Goored (no fix) by typing 1 and pressing Enter. A log will open, please post the contents of that log in your next reply (it can also be found on your desktop, called Goored.txt). Note: Do not run Option #2 yet.

    5) Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your Desktop
    http://www.malwarebytes.org/

    http://www.besttechie.net/mbam/mbam-setup.exe <<< download

    * Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
    * Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
    * If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
    * Once the program has loaded, select Perform FULL SCAN, then click Scan.
    * When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
    * Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
    * When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. The log can also be opened by going to Start > All Programs > Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware > Logs > log-date.txt
    * Please post contents of that file & a new HJT log in your next reply.

Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts. Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately. Failure to reboot will prevent MBAM from removing all the malware.

    Tutorial if needed:
    http://thespykiller.co.uk/index.php/topic,5946.0.html

    6) Post also an uninstall list: Open Hijackthis.
Click the "Open the Misc Tools" section Button.
Click the "Open Uninstall Manager" Button.
    Click the "Save list..." Button.
Save it to your desktop. Copy and paste the contents into your reply.
    Image: http://img.bleepingcomputer.com/tuto...nstall-man.jpg

Recap: Post the results from GooredFix, the log from MBAM, an uninstall list and a new HJT log created after everything else is done.

    Thanks
