    Hi,

Could you archive Add-Remove Programs file and attach it to your reply?

Did you want me to continue with updating flash, java,ATF, etc. or should I wait on those?

    Hi,

I'd like to get add/remove issue sorted out first.

Let's try to do a system restore to the point before the first ComboFix run.

    1. Click Start, and then click Help and Support.
    2. Under Pick a Task, click Undo changes to your computer with System Restore.
    3. Follow the instructions on the wizard. There should be a point available right before 09/03/2009 8:54.

Under "Fixing a Problem" and then choosing "using system restore to undo changes" I get the following choices:

    To undo the last restoration
Access System Restore through Help and Support.
Click Undo my last restoration. Save all files and close all programs, and then click Next.
    Notes

To access the System Restore Wizard, click Start, and then click Help and Support. Click Performance and Maintenance, click Using System Restore to undo changes, and then click Run the System Restore Wizard.
If you want to undo an earlier restoration, click Restore my computer to an earlier time in the Welcome to System Restore screen, and then select the relevant restore operation restore point listed in the System Restore Wizard.

When I navigate to the Welcome to System Restore screen the date options are:

    Sept. 2nd:
    10:36:18pm Software Distribution Service 3.0
    5:59:40pm Software Distribution Service 3.0

    Sept. 3rd:
    4:54:58pm Software Distribution Service 3.0

I don't see any time right before 9/03/2009 8:54, so maybe I'm not looking in the right place.

Did that have any effect on those issues in add/remove programs? Are those remove -buttons still absent?
