Take your time and continue with this when you can

Please go to Kaspersky website and perform an online antivirus scan.

    1. Read through the requirements and privacy statement and click on Accept button.
    2. It will start downloading and installing the scanner and virus definitions. You will be prompted to install an application from Kaspersky. Click Run.
    3. When the downloads have finished, click on Settings.
    4. Make sure these boxes are checked (ticked). If they are not, please tick them and click on the Save button:
      • Spyware, Adware, Dialers, and other potentially dangerous programs
        Archives
    5. Click on My Computer under Scan.
    6. Once the scan is complete, it will display the results. Click on View Scan Report.
    7. You will see a list of infected items there. Click on Save Report As....
    8. Save this report to a convenient place. Change the Files of type to Text file (.txt) before clicking on the Save button.
    9. Please post this log in your next reply along with a fresh HijackThis log.

No need to install Kaspersky Antivirus if you are doing it

Just running online scan is good here.

now, I have AVG running in background, I do not know how to turn AVG off temporarily ? or should I just let AVG run while kaspersky scans?

Smile downloads and finding them in my computer afterwords....

Hi, ..if I understood correctly, then Tashi has asked me to post this question here.... however I am getting slightly confused and feel I am in the fog and it is thickening around me......the bottom of each of you's postings says to not post questions here but to do so in the forums.....forgive me and any confusion I may cause while I am here....I want to follow the rules but I am not understanding them as well as I once thought i did.

    My question is:
I am downloading these dds.scr....... when it is finished downloading i can not find it without doing a search...can I create a folder with a desktop icon to have downloads go to so I can easily find them?
I am using Windows XP 2002 home edition

Shaba ..just so you know, it has been two hrs. and i think....the scan is still running, but I am not 100% certain, will I know for certain when it is finished?

    Thank you

    Default My AVG concerns....

Trend High Jack found 20 problems!!!!

So why when, I have had AVG installed for a year and I update regularly each week and I have AVG run a scan every day at 4:00AM ......
AVG never finds any problems ?????? Might I have it set up wrong?
Is AVG not as good as bragged to be?...what protection does work?....and is free? or does not cost an arm and a leg every year?
