    Default the forums and help

first off, i would like to ask if theres any chance of an edit button to our posts? its just annoying when i relise that i've done somehting stupid... i should get into the habit of previewing things, but i hav just got used to being lazy, which i know is a bad thing and my own fault, but it would still be nice to have an edit button...

also is there any chance of some form of turtorial on how to work out what malware you have on ur computer? i guess the guys take a long time to work out what has infected our computers, and it would be nice for them if we could do it ourseleves, and i would personally like to be able to do it for myself...

For the edit button:There should be an edit button to edit your posts,I edit mine all the time.It should be down in the lower right-hand corner, you should see it after you post your post.

    Next to the Quote button.

Member requests assistance in the malware removal forum and a helper responds with a fix based on information given.

Member edits their original post. It happens.

Sorry you find it irrititating Mr_PieChee but it is a matter of safety.

Best to use the Preview Post before Submitting Reply.

There are many tutorials, did you start off by reading the stickied preventive topics in the malware forum where you have your own topic?

So how did I get infected in the first place? By Tony Klein

    Have you updated Windows?

File Sharing, otherwise known as Peer To Peer. (P2P)

There are also schools to learn how to remove malware; most aimed at people who wish to train and become malware fighters in the forums and thus help others.

Training is by volunteers who have also learnt at the schools.
It requires hours and months of ones free time, especially as the training is usually geared towards learning at ones own pace.

    Boot Camp Admission.
    Classroom.
    Malware University.
    GTG University

    Hope that helps.

    Default Spybot and wifi

    Dear All,
I am thinking of taking up one of the offers for broadband at home and hope to use wifi and the offer is for 'free' antivirus and firewall. What I need to know is will this effect on already installed programmes including Spybot, and would I have uninstall these if I take up this offer.
Any one lese had this problem?

    Hello.

Spybot-S&D is an anti spyware program, there shouldn't be a problem.

So how did I get infected in the first place? By Tony Klein
It is not a good idea to run more than one firewall, and one anti-virus program. Running more than one of these at a time can cause system crashes, high system usage and/or conflicts with each other.*
