This is an active protection. It is a BHO (Browser Helper Object) that blocks the download of bad (malicious) files. There are three selectable modes that this can operate in: (1) Block all pages silently (2) Display dialog when blocking (3) Ask for blocking confirmation.

Right now I'm testing the option "disabling sdhelper". Let's see if that helps and hopefully one of my other security programs has an eye on the bad (and not known to user) downloads.

It seems it stopped crashing after disabling sdhelper. Hopefully there'll be an update soon, so I can re-do this.

    Thanks for all your help!
