    Default Immunize: "Open Browsers Detected"

Every time I click "immunize" I get the warning "Open Browsers Detected" - but don't see any browsers open.

By which I mean: There are no browser icons on the Task Bar.

In the past I have clicked "Immunize" anyway, and it took several tries to get everything protected. Today 44 items are left "unprotected" in several categories despite clicking "immunize" several times.

I checked the "Task Manager" to see if any browsers are open.

Under the Task Manager "Applications" tab no browsers are shown open.

But when I click the "Processes" tab in the Task Manager I see one instance of "explorer.exe" and one or two of "iexplore.exe" - should I terminate these processes?

I am running XP Home and IE8.

    Any ideas?

The process iexplore.exe belongs to Microsoft's Internet Explorer. You should close the IE before you start to immunize your system with Spybot.

    Don't terminate explorer.exe.
    Best regards - Beste Grüße,
