    Default What does Spybot scan?

When I start the "Check for problems" scan in Spybot there is a number in the left bottom corner (like a percentage that shows how much is done already). I was wondering what that number actually means?

Spybot has a database of malware items whose presence or absence it checks for. For each item it checks to see whether associated files or registry entries are present or not (if they are it flags them). During a scan it goes through these items sequentially. The first number shows the number of the current item being checked for, the second number is the total number of items to be checked for, the name is the current item being checked for.
