s&d finds problems but crashes

S&d mostly crashes, but when it completes. finds spysheriff, desktop.active desktop and newdotcom. main visible problem is cant change wallpaper. have run all sorts of progs and anti spyware. Spybot is the only one that even finds something. what next??!!!???

okay!!!! I downloaded and ran wallapaer hijack and eliminated spysheriff, spybot ran till the end and still found desktopo and newdotcom but freezes at that end before I can correct them.
