    I have a brand new HP desktop running vista. Now, i have vista on my laptop, and it doesnt run nearly as slow as this thing does, and my laptop has .5 the specs.

    My ethernet card cuts out frequently. Firefox wont connect to internet, or it spends 5 minutes "Looking up www.google.com". This just isnt right. Makes me think there is something realllly wrong here.

    There seems to be a TON of backround operations going on while the comp is sitting idle too.

    Ive tried everything

    The majority of commercial computers come installed with lots of useless bloatware, HP is no exception. A brand new computer should still be under some kind of warranty. I would contact HP.

    I dont think the thing is broken though, its just not running good @ all. Ive done all the updates i possibly could.
