    Default Infected with Win32.bredolab.B Trojan

After reading through other post I need help in removing this trojan. I'm attaching the log from Rootalyzer since I believe this is a rootkit infection. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. If you need any other information I'll be more than happy to provide it.

    Hi Roland,

Download DDS and save it to your desktop from here or here or here.
Disable any script blocker, and then double click dds.scr to run the tool.
    • When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
      1. DDS.txt
      2. Attach.txt
    • Save both reports to your desktop. Post them back to your topic.

Download GMER here by clicking download exe -button and then saving it your desktop:
    • Double-click .exe that you downloaded
    • Click rootkit-tab and then scan.
    • Don't check
      Show All
      box while scanning in progress!
    • When scanning is ready, click Copy.
    • This copies log to clipboard
    • Post log in your reply.

    Hi again,

Please visit this webpage for download links, and instructions for running ComboFix tool:

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/comb...o-use-combofix

Please ensure you read this guide carefully first.

    Please continue as follows:

    1. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix, link
      Remember to re-enable them afterwards.

    2. Click Yes to allow ComboFix to continue scanning for malware.

When the tool is finished, it will produce a report for you.

Please include the following reports for further review, and so we may continue cleansing the system:

    C:\ComboFix.txt
    New dds log.

A word of warning: Neither I nor sUBs are responsible for any damage you may have caused your machine by running ComboFix. This tool is not a toy and not for everyday use.

    Default can't disable norton360

Running norton 360 V3 which doesn't have the advanced option. I Have disabled both the antivirus autoprotect and firewall but Combofix keeps telling me that norton 360 is active.
Even shut norton360 as a sevice and rebooted with the same results.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi,

If you have disabled Norton, ignore the warning and let ComboFix run.

    Smile Logs after Combofix run

Here are the two log files.
Is there anythig else I should do.
I'll run Spybot for one and see if it has gone but are there any other recommendations. Can you determine from the info what could have been the mechanism to infect the system.
Thank You in advance for the help in resolving this issue.
Definitely will consider donating to the forum group. This is the best experience I've encontured in my forty years of working with computers.

    Hi,

Could had been exploited vulnerability in Windows or one of the installed apps (like old Java version).

Are you familiar with these and similar port openings in your firewall:

    Question tcp firewall open ports

I could not find any info on these ports.
Can you point me to where in Norton or the system that i may find out more about these and if I should be concerned. They have not shown up on the task manager list. and netstat doesn't show them either.
Where and what can i use to display any current use on my system?

    Hi,

Go to Windows Firewall thru Security center and check if exceptions has any of those listed. If not, then those should be found in Norton.
