    Default Detection updates

    Spybot sent a message as I was about to begin to Check for problems. It read "You need to install detection updates". I installed all the 9/12/09 updates listed but Spybot still sends the same message. When I tried to send them again, they must have been installed, as they are no longer on the list of updates. Any ideas? I am running Spybot 1.6.0.

    Hello,

    You seem to be using a dated version of Spybot-S&D.

    Please uninstall Spybot - Search & Destroy according to the following link.
    Then download our current version Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.6.2. That should fix it.
    You will find links to several download locations for this new version on our web site.

    Default Detection links

    Hi Sandra

    Many thanks for your advice. I removed Spybot 1.6.0 although my PC didn't want me to. I toook it off through the program file and added Spybot 1.6.2.
    I don't know how many others are the same but my IE won't accept Spydoctor - I did put it on once before but it was banned this time.
