ok. Log looks ok as far as malware goes. I would suggest a second anti-malware app to go along with Spybot; Malwarebytes. It is a on demand scanner and the free version has to be updated manually. Cookies aren't to much to be concerned about as far as malware goes. Normally they can be controlled somewhat from within the browser you use.

Please download Malwarebytes to your desktop.

Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.

Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.

If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.

Once the program has loaded, select Perform FULL SCAN, then click Scan.
When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
Be sure that everything is checked, and click *Remove Selected.*
*A restart of your computer may be required to remove some items. If prompted please restart your computer to complete the fix.*

When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. The log can also be opened by going to Start > All Programs > Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware > Logs > log-date.txt

Post the log in your reply.

OK, it doesn't show any malicious malware. But I do get a popup notice every time I reboot detecting a DoubleClick or AdYieldManager cookie. I don't know why my malware is notifying me of a cookie. These appear to be permanent cookies as I've tried to delete them but can't. That does have me somewhat concerned although I haven't seen any detrimental side effects of the cookies.

I just rebooted and nothing happened. It was either Spybot or AVG.

I think I know why nothing happened on the last reboot. I uninstalled the Yahoo! toolbar. When I installed it, that's about when the problems started and it was the only thing about my computer that had changed when I started getting the popups. I think uninstalling the toolbar might have fixed it. I'll know for sure in a couple of days.

Does AVG popup like that when you are browsing? I see you were using firefox. You can get FF to dump all cookies when you close the browser. Tools or Edit> Preferences> Privacy tab.
