Default Cannot access sites to install anti-virus software!

My computer is running Windows XP Pro with IE6 and has quite a number of viruses and Trojans that I'm having difficulty removing. The main problem is that I cannot access Web sites such as this one or the Avast.com Web site in order to download the necessary programs needed to remove the viruses. Although some sites are accessable, others such as the Windows Update Web site are not. How can I install anti-virus/anti-malware software if the browser won't allow me to go to the websites I need to go to?

Please see this FAQ, "BEFORE you POST"(READ this Procedure BEFORE Requesting Assistance) Then start a new thread in the Malware Removal Forum

If HJT won't run please start a new topic anyway, make note of the situation and a volunteer analyst will advise you when available.

    Best regards.

    Hi neospirit,

I split off your log and moved it to the malware forum.

Thank you, Sir. I didn't know if I was in the right place or not.
