    Default Not sure yet?

OK, a quick status update here is what has happened:

    Hi Paws,

I am not real sure what the deal is however it won't even let me see puppy. You see, I used imgburn and copy the software. Then I set the bios and tried to start, however as soon as the screen would come up? Then it would say,

"The amount of system memory has changed. Strike the F1 Key to cointinue, F2 to run the setup utility."

Then I reset everything and I thought that I was about to get it to load when it would then say that it was not a bootable function? So does this sound like a hardware issue to you??

Thanks for all of your help!

I am following your thread over at WTT. Did you set your bios to boot from the CD ?

    Lightbulb Possessed!

Well, it has become clear to me that this machine is possessed! Therefore I am throwing in the towel and sending this thing somewhere to be repaired! As there are obviously issues here and they are well beyond my realm that is for sure! So thanks for all of your help and patience as we really do appreciate! Thanks and sorry for the hassle!

    Hi,

Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and have it checked by a reliable shop, stay away from the Geek Squad at Best Buy, there very expensive and you most likely wont be happy with the results. Do you have a local pc repair shop in your area.

As far as wasting our time, that is never an issue, wish we could have done more.

If you get the hardware side of this computer fixed and wonder if you still have some sort of infection, let me know. This thread maybe closed but feel free to repost and if I miss it one of our staff will pick it up.

    Good luck,
    Ken

    Hi,

Thanks a lot as we really do appreciate it! And we do have a local guy that we usually send our stuff to here. So it shouldn't be a problem! Thanks again and we'll do!

    Thanks,
    Phillip
