    Default Vundo/Virtumonde removal help needed

    Howdy,

My notebook and desktop have been infected with Vundo/Virtumonde. I believe I have been able to remove these on my desktop with the help of AVG and Spybot. But first I would like to clear my notebook since Spybot will lock up when it begins reading Virtumonde files (I assume I a using the correct terminology). Therefore, I am focusing on my notebook only for the permanent fix at this time and then come back on line with my desktop. I have tried downloading PC Tools Spy Doctor, but the update files are blocked from loading.

I have downloaded and run ERUNT and made the registry backup.
I have downloaded HJT 2.0.2, but it will not run.
I have downloaded HJT beta 2.0.3 and will add the log results.

    Hi,

Download DDS and save it to your desktop from here or here or here.
Disable any script blocker, and then double click dds.scr to run the tool.
    • When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
      1. DDS.txt
      2. Attach.txt
    • Save both reports to your desktop. Post them back to your topic.
