Personally I do not; and there is always the possibility the reviewer already had an infected computer without being aware of it.

    Default Totally an Issue

    This is DEFINITELY an issue!

I don't know which is the culprit, but here is the deal!

My wife has a brand new Sony VAIO laptop with windows 7 on it.

When trying to watch an FLV file the other night, it prompted us to download the FLV player. So we did and it installed. It ALSO installed the Babylon Toolbar.

I have since uninstalled both the FLV player and the Babylon toolbar, but ever since then, we get random redirects while on ANY website.

It takes us to some fake Survey Page that is dressed up to look like it is from the site we were just on. For example, if on FaceBook, It'll say it's a FaceBook survey. If we're on CBSNews, it'll say its a CBSNews survey. If you click on a link at the bottom it takes you to some information about some company called. Online Survey Center.

I have not been able to find anything on fixing this, so I figure it's gotta be something REALLY new!

I've scanned with SpyBot as well as several other scanners and have come up with nothing.

So this FLV Player or the attached Babylon Toolbar are someone infecting people!

If anyone has any info on this, it would be very appreciated, as both my wife and I are getting frustrated!

    Thanks!

When prompted to download an application to view media one needs to be wary. Do you recall the source?

Please follow the instructions in this link to produce a HJT log: "BEFORE you POST"(READ this Procedure BEFORE Requesting Assistance)

Then start your own thread in the Malware Removal Forum where an analyst will advise you as soon as available.
