    Default labouring over virtumonde

Yesterday when I ran Spybot SD it "laboured" over Virtumonde, that is, it appeared to examine about 12 files at a time. The time taken for the complete scan was about 8 hours but ultimately only RightMedia was detected. What do you think was going on? Do I have a problem with virtumonde? My concern with the computer is that I seem to be ripping through my limited broadband MB'age allocation at an alarming rate. Please bear with me and use plain English - in answering, imagine you are addressing your elderly aunt! Thank you.

I have seen the same behavior on a number of machines and regardless of processing power. Spybot tends to take a while to "crunch" through the various Virtumonde objects/patterns and it appears to "pause" when going through them.

    Peace...

Thank you for your rapid reply, the problem is that a full scan only used to take about one hour and did NOT labour! Cheers
