    Hi,

It's possible those sites you're visiting are bad. That streaming category is one example of those that criminals use to lure users to enter trapped websites. Please send me site address in private message. In general, we don't support acts that contain copyright violations. That means if the site isn't legit you're visiting it with your own risk.

    Hi,

As I told you above, you should avoid those sites that offer dubious streams and other such things.

    Uninstall outdated Java(TM) 6 Update 7.

Download ATF (Atribune Temp File) Cleaner© by Atribune to your desktop.

Double-click ATF Cleaner.exe to open it

    Under Main choose:
    Windows Temp
    Current User Temp
    All Users Temp
    Cookies
    Temporary Internet Files
    Prefetch
    Java Cache

    *The other boxes are optional*
Then click the Empty Selected button.

    If you use Firefox:
Click Firefox at the top and choose: Select All
    Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click NO at the prompt.

    If you use Opera:
Click Opera at the top and choose: Select All
    Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click NO at the prompt.

Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Then we'll see if Kaspersky online scanner finds anything.

Please run an online scan with Kaspersky Online Scanner as instructed in the screenshot here. Post back its report.

    Hi,

To play it safe I recommend to uninstall Firefox (including its profile too) and then reinstall. Let me know if the message still shows up after that.

Oh and by the way: ATF also deleted spybot. Had to reinstall that, too.

Oh now I know what the profile is. Erased that, too and still the same message.

    Hi,

Answer yes to that UAC message regarding Firefox. ATF Cleaner won't touch other than temporary items. I don't think it removed Spybot.

Fantastic news, did a system restore and that fixed the error message. I did however reinstall spybot (I am sorry to argue with you on that point, but ATF did uninstall it, at least on my computer it did) and so everything is back to normal. Won't use ATF ever again...learned my lesson the hard way.
