MBAM new version Install

Hi Guys,

During the the installation of MalwareBytes (MBAM) - v1.45

I got the notification as attached
Well, MBAM & Morpheus Toolbar coming together ... isn't that a bit ironic
Anyway I just hit "kill" being sure that it was kinda ... * ... you know what...



The installation of the new MBAM went fine anyway, but the entries of starting it on startup and to RunOnce were added anyway, which never happened before
I just deleted those using Autoruns by Sysinternals

The only side effect - I lost the Explorer ShellExtension integration because of that ... but that was the matter of
un-ticking & ticking it back in MBAM settings

Please test that stuff and address this because that is not funny message ... actually I git that message 1st time ever... and I am a long term user of SpyBot

Hi FoxCat,

Spybot shouldn't flagg MBAM as Malware. As far as I know, it is in Spybots whitelist.

What you can do:
Zip the file mbam-setup.exe and set it to detections(at)spybot.info (replace (at) with @). Please add a link to this thread.

This appears to be another odd TeaTimer involved false positive,
it cannot be recreated and it should not occur in the first place because our Morpheus Toolbar detection is very specific and is not able to flag anything like the MBAM installer.

Matt is right, that we have MBAM white listed via its digital signature, however it appears that the new MBAM installer uses a new digital signature serial number. This new one will be added to our white list just to be on the safe side.
