Hi,
Fix the following entries with HijackThis (close all browser windows, start hjt, do a system scan only, check listed entries and click 'fix checked'):
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.ask.com?o=14196&l=dis
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyServer = http=127.0.0.1:5555
Otherwise ok.
