    Default Scheduler

I just in stalled Spybot S&D. When I start the scheduler I can not add a new task, the status shows "One or more of the properties that are needed to run this task on a schedule have not been set." As best I can remember I did not have this problem when I installed Spybot S&D on other computers.

What properties do I need to set?

    Hello,

Did you open Spybot with a right click and choose "run as administrator" ?

    Best regards

Even with "run as administrator" I get the same message in the scheduler.

    Thanks

    Hi:

I am not sure where I need to enter a password. When I click on Scheduler in Spybot S&D a window opens with the Add icon grayed so I ca not add a task to run Spybot S&D. Today my status message in this window was "The Task Scheduler Service is not running." I went to the Services applet and the Task Scheduler status was running, startup type was automatic.
Today I was able to use "Add (Updater) in Scheduler to add an update task but the "Add" icon was still grayed. I can not remember if the "Add Updater" icon was functional in the past.

    Thanks
    John

    Hello,

When it is greyed out then you do not have admin rights.
Which windows version do you have?

    Best regards

    Hello,

First open Spybot with a right click and choose "run as administrator".

Then run Spybot-S&D in "Advanced Mode" and go to "Settings" --> "Scheduler". Hit the "Edit" button at the top of the "Scheduler" section in Spybot-S&D. Then hit "OK". Now you are asked to enter the password (your windows account password).

Please consider the following link in order to see how to use the Scheduler.

    Best regards
