Description:
Fraud.LiveEnterprise claims to be an antispyware tool. When it is installed to the computer it finds a lot of harmless entries in order to frighten the user and make him buy a license to get the issue fixed.
Removal Instructions:

Desktop:

Please remove the following files from your desktop.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.
  • Shortcuts named "Live Enterprise Suite.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Live Enterprise Suite\LiveES.exe".

Start Menu:

Please remove the following items from your start menu.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.
  • Items named "Live Enterprise Suite Home Page.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Live Enterprise Suite\LiveES.exe*".
  • Items named "Live Enterprise Suite.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Live Enterprise Suite\LiveES.exe*".
  • Items named "Purchase License.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Live Enterprise Suite\LiveES.exe*".

Quicklaunch area:

Please remove the following items from your start quick launch area text to the "Start" button in the taskbar at the bottom.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.
  • Quicklaunch symbols named "Live Enterprise Suite.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Live Enterprise Suite\LiveES.exe".

Installed Software List:

You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D or RunAlyzer to locate and get rid of these entries.
  • Products that have a key or property named "Live Enterprise Suite_is1".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.
  • The file at "<$APPDATA>\Live Enterprise Suite\checklist.ini".

  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Live Enterprise Suite\security\Infected.wav".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Live Enterprise Suite\security\list.ini".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Live Enterprise Suite\security\secedit.sdb".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Live Enterprise Suite\security\security.db".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Live Enterprise Suite\Thumbs.db".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Live Enterprise Suite\uninstall.ico".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Live Enterprise Suite\working.log".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Fraud.LiveEnterprise uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D to remove them.

Folders:

  • The directory at "<$APPDATA>\Live Enterprise Suite\security".
  • The directory at "<$APPDATA>\Live Enterprise Suite".

  • The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Live Enterprise Suite\Languages".
  • The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Live Enterprise Suite\security".
  • The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Live Enterprise Suite".

  • Delete the registry value "Live Enterprise Suite" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\Run\".
  • Delete the registry value "oftheouton" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\Run\".
If Fraud.LiveEnterprise uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer, RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
