    Default malware detected

    I apologize for letting this thread lapse. Real life intruded. Old thread is http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=57491. Tried to run GMER but it kept crashing/restarting Windows.

    Hi,

    You seem to have both AVG and Webroot Antivirus installed there. It's recommended to have one antivirus program installed only.

    What malware was detected there and by which program? Do you have logs available?

    Webroot spysweeper found Mal/generic-A. An earlier sweep found a virus with a similar name I can't recall now, but it didn't show up in my latest scan. No logs available, sorry.

    Ok. If no issues are detected then please install and run Secunia Personal Software Inspector (PSI). Fix its findings.
