Very Quick Question about SecurityTool

I'm trying to help a friend with SecurityTool. I have searched and searched and can't find a straight answer to the following simple question:

* Is it safe to send an attached document (a resumé in word, for example) from a computer infected with SecurityTool?

* Is it safe to send an attached document (a resumé in word, for example) from a computer infected with SecurityTool?

SecurityTool might shut down a program falsely stating that it is infected. I hope your friend wasn't intimidated by the scare tactics to pay for the rogue.

The computer may have other unwelcome visitors too so without an analysis there are no simple answers.
