Default Spybot SD Resident though Spybot uninstalled

Hi. I have uninstalled Spybot Search and Destroy for troubleshooting purposes. There is a shortcut remaining, when I click on it, I am told the program no longer exists.

When I go into Windows Unistall a Program, Spybot is not listed anywhere.

However, Spybot-SD Resident is still in my system tray. Why wasn't it uninstalled, too? How do I get rid of it? Can I just delete SDWinSec.exe and TeaTimer.exe which were left behind?

    Thank you.

You should be able to get rid of Spybot-SD Resident by first rightclicking it in your system tray, and selecting Exit Spybot S&D Resident, then deleting the Spybot - Search & Destroy folder, usually located at C:\Program Files. You can get rid of the remaining shortcut by rightclicking it,and selecting delete.hth.
