    Hello,

I am sorry, but Chrome is only being supported in scanning and fixing at the moment. There will be a plugin for live-blocking in Spybot 2.0.

    Best regards

Hi you say that Chrome blocking will be available in spybot 2.0, but spybot 2.0 has been in development for years and there is no sign or information of 2.0? Can you give an idea of when 2.0 will come out?

    Hello,

We are sorry, but we do not have any release date for our next version yet - as we are still working on it.
    Please be patient.
To stay up to date you can have a look at our news section on our homepage from time to time.
Or have a look at the beta section in our forum.
Further you will be informed whenever there is a new version out.
We have integrated this function into our current version Spybot - Search & Destroy.
So, whenever there is a new version you will get a notification when you are searching for new updates.

You will find an outlook for the new version Spybot 2.0 here.

If you have Twitter you can also get the latest news live from our lead developer Patrick Kolla. Just follow us on Twitter.

    Best regards

Hosts should work as it is OS independent
active-x and restricted sites etc are i-e features so do not really apply
The scanner should work just fine
you need to protect i-e if it installed even for just windows update
    so
OS fully patched, adobe, reader/flash/and Java/ office, etc up to date
    old versions of java removed
good two way firewall like outpost, comodo etc
    good antivirus
something like t-timer to alert you to changes to your os?
