Hi,

Please specify the problem and post fresh dds log.

Basically this pc uses way too much memory (I think it's memory). In the task manager the CPU Usage says 18% to 35%. On my main pc the cpu usage is usually 0% to 4% (at the most).
Since this pc is using so much I'm wondering if it may be due to viruses or programs that aren't needed to be running at the time.
And as I said in the waiting room, winzip doesn't work on this pc for some reason.

Hi,

It seems Antivir is main antivirus protection there. If that's true please uninstall Norton. Removal tool can be downloaded here.

Also, some programs are badly outdated. Download and run Secunia Personal Software Inspector (PSI) and fix its findings.

When done, post back fresh dds logs.

Got rid of Norton % downloaded that PSI program. It found 4 problems, which in turn were fixed. Re-scanned again and found no problems.
CPU usage is down a little but still as high as 15%.

downloaded that PSI program. It found 4 problems, which in turn were fixed. Re-scanned again and found no problems.

That's strange since you still have outdated Java and severely outdated Adobe Acrobat 4.0 installed there.

Your Java is out of date. Older versions have vulnerabilities that malware can use to infect your system. Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components and update to the latest version...

Updating Java:

• Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 22.
• Click the
  Download
  button to the right.
• Select Windows on platform combobox and check the box that says:
  Accept License Agreement. Click continue.
  
• The page will refresh.
• Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation with or without Multi-language and save to your desktop.
• Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
• Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.
• Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
• Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
• Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
• Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
• Then from your desktop double-click on jre-6u22-windows-i586-p.exe to install the newest version. Uncheck Carbonite online backup trial if it's offered there.

Adobe Acrobat 4.0 should be uninstalled since it's not supported anymore. Are you still using it for anything?

CPU usage is down a little but still as high as 15%.

I have CPU running at about the same level. Have you looked at task manager to see what process is using CPU there?
