Windows Explorer, Firefox, and IE8 Crash on boot

Hello,
I just began IT at a local law firm and one of my users is experiencing the problem stated in the title. I've attempted to run a list of things to fix it including Windows updates, sfc /scannow, hijackthis (which I will post the log), Spybot, and scan and removal tools from Asquared, Panda, Webroot, Kaspersky, Trend Micro, as well as a couple others from a streamlined tool I own to no avail. The virus scans did find 60+ traces and the computer was (may still be) infected with hmouHopOSV.exe. I've made a few Registry tweaks but nothing seems to work. The following is the hijackthis log:
