Default TeaTimer.exe wants internet access. ZoneAlarm gives it a red light.

    Hi All,

So out of nowhere, ZA pops up with the "red stoplight" and alerts me that TeaTimer.exe wants to access the net (sorry to be redundant)...

I understand through ZA's "more info", that it should not need net access.

    I'm a bit concerned.

Has anyone known of this type of thing happening, and would they have any info they could share with me and the rest of the Spybot user community?

I wouldn't like to inhibit the proper functionality of the software by denying it net access, if it's a safe thing to do.

Thanks again. I love the Spybot prog, and what you guys do.

    Hello,

It could be that the resident TeaTimer temporarily tries to verify its certification via internet.
But in general it does not need any internet connection. ZoneAlarm alerts this, but you can safely allow this. No need to worry.

    Best regards
