    Default netscape installer as Zlob.PornMagPass

Teatimer kicked the netscaper installer out of memory:

    29/07/2006 6:14:35 AM Encountered and terminated Zlob.PornMagPass in C:\Documents and Settings\greg\Desktop\nsb-install-8-1.exe!

netscape 8.1 installer, from http://browser.netscape.com/ns8/ ; AVG and ewido come up negative.

Also, might it be advisable to deselect 'delete the associated file' by default? i know i should have been paying attention, but i had to d/l the installer again

Like i said, my own fault for not checking, but turned a tiddly annoyance into a slightly-less-tiddly annoyance.

    thanks for reporting,
it is a false positive in the detections and will be removed with the next update scheduled for the end of the week.

    Default same message

I got the same message when trying to uninstall netscape, and despite choosing to 'delete associated file' it came up with the same message each time I tried to uninstall netscape.
the reason I was uninstalling netscape is because it was refusing to load,so I thought I would reinstall it.
Finally I searched for the file (Au_.exe) and deleted it manually (I hope),as my pc refused to switch off untill I pulled the plug, however after restarting, the file was gone and netscape could install again.
I don't understand why you say this is a false positive,as zlob.pornmagpass seems to be a genuine security issue.

    Thumbs up

came across another zlob yesterday whilst trying to resurrect Winmx with a patch. Spybot warned me as in previous incident.
I was a little reluctant to update till I saw your recent message, and after update I tried the patch again and the process was instantly Killed.I guess you can say that it works!
I can do without winmx, I only liked it for it's good looks.
Thanks for all your good work at Spybot.....Teatimer is an excellent addition, and works really well,it makes me feel a lot safer.
