    Default MsMp.exe Problem

    Hello-

My McAffe keeps telling me I'm infected with the MsMp Trojan and I cant seem to figure out how to get rid of it....

Additionally, my CPU is running a bit slow on the shutdown and start. Any help in fixing this would be appreciated.

    What I've done so far:

Installed newest Spybot and Hijack this.

    Spybot was negative.

    Panda log:
    Adware:adware program Not disinfected c:\windows\ss3unstl.exe
the following is my hijack this log:

Hello and welcome to the forum, sorry for the wait, logs are many and volunteers are few. If you still need help and are not receiving it at another forum, please do this.

I do not see this item MsMp Trojan, before we start throwing tools at it, please provide me with more information. A more complete name and pathway (location would help). If you get that, then use these tools:
    http://virusscan.jotti.org/
    http://www.kaspersky.com/scanforvirus
    http://www.virustotal.com/flash/index_en.html
To scan the item and post the information for me. You can also scan this: c:\windows\ss3unstl.exe and delete it if it comes back as bad. Don't take no for an answer, do it in safe mode if you have to.

    This item: C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr.exe
I suggest you uninstall, see this information:
    http://www.clickz.com/news/article.php/3561546
    http://www.greatis.com/appdata/u/v/viewmgr.exe.htm
    http://www.spywareinfo.com/newslette....php#viewpoint

Your Java program needs an update: http://forums.spybot.info/showpost.p...80&postcount=2

Please create a folder for HJT, call it say HJT and move HJT.exe and the log that is there into that folder. Backups for safety will store there also.
It will look like this: C:\Documents and Settings\Dr. Zach Ricker\My Documents\HJT\HijackThis.exe

Post any information you can provide about this trojan, and a fresh HJT log.

    Thanks...pskelley
