Default Teatimer repeatedly asking about changes?

Hi everyone. A friend of mine has SpyBot installed on their computer and today found that it is repeatedly requesting that he approve a change to the Firewall Authorized Applications list to the point that he can get nothing done. He has denied the changes up until now because he has not changed anything, but it just keeps cycling through so he can never get to the end of this list.

Has anyone else run into a problem like this and might be able to tell us how they resolved it. I am unsure what is attempting to make this change, but he has changed no settings manually, and has not installed any updates that may have affected the Firewall either.

    Thanks again for any help.

Do you know if your friend is running Teatimer in paranoid mode?

I just checked with him and he said that he was. But when he denies a setting it isn't keeping for some reason. Unless something is just repeatedly trying to change this...

Would this be a malicious program?

There's a possibility that it could be a malicious program, but no one could say for certain without seeing the logs.
From what I'm seeing, most likely,I think your friend is being prompted repeatedly by Teatimer about changes to the Firewall Authorized Applications list because he is running Teatimer in paranoid mode.

Please see this thread, which should give you a general idea about the whole thing:

And then take note of this single post:

    And this one:

Your friend might find it easier to not run Teatimer in paranoid mode, especially if he's a newer user.
