I am running a US version of Windows 2000.
I have the same error, also Win2k.
I have confirmed that this is new on 2.0.3.50

Unhappy different pcrelib.dll error in Windows 7

I tried installing FileAlyzer2 on my Windows7 PC and it gives an error about pcrelib being a bad image! Does FileAlyzer2 run on anything?

FYI: Starting a new thread: you need to be at the forum or subforum level. The only thing you can do from the thread view is reply to that thread.

    Exclamation

I've downloaded the new installer with the correct MD5 sum 11664F19C467EFE118F015DF966CD3AF

Still getting error: "Bad Image, pcrelib.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error."

The new release of FileAlyzer only works with Windows XP SP2 and newer Windows versions. If you are still on Win 2000 you have to use a previous FileAlyzer release. I do not know if we will support older Windows versions with the next FileAlyzer release again.

    Default pcrelib.dll error

I downloaded the new installer today and got the same error with Windows 7 SP1 "pcrelib.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error"
I used previous versions to restore the folder and reverted back to version 2.0.0
It works fine, but I would really like to install the newer version.

Default Still a problem on Windows 7

OK, I understand you are no longer going to support Windows 2000 for FileAlyzer but that should be stated somewhere so folks know which systems it will work on. However, there still seems to be a problem w/ it on Windows 7. Can you take a look into that problem? (I am running Windows 7 SP1)

    Hi,

we are now working on a fixed installer, which should be available by next week as we are currently concentrating on the beta release of Spybot 2.0. If you are interested in a pre-release version please download the zip file attached to this post. Please replace the pcrelib.dll in your FileAlyzer folder with the one attached.
