Spybot blocked from running? Must be simple.

Have four computers at home and sensed some trouble. Checked for Virus. All clean. Downloaded Spybot. Checked all computers. Spybot would not start on one machine, my old XP workhorse. Worked and cleaned all other machines.

Followed your advice for "Spybot doesn't run - what should you do". Found three .scr files in the directory. Double clicked first one and Spybot loaded and ran. Removed miscellaneous malware. Ok.

Now to run it again. It Will not start from installed short cuts. Do I remove .scr's? What do I do next to get Spybot to run "correctly" for my old machine.

Must be something simple.
