    Default Unlocker

A couple of days ago i had to use Unlocker to remove something smelly from my hard drive, it came recommended from some of the forum members.

Norton's log and the rules i created are telling me the program has a smell of its own.

    Rule "Unlocker" blocked (194.74.65.68,domain(53)).
    Outbound UDP packet.
    Local address,service is (FRED(**.***.**.*),2417).
    Remote address,service is (194.74.65.68,domain(53)).
    Process name is "C:\Program Files\Unlocker\Unlocker.exe".

Do a google on the address

Sorry, forgot the Norton Log. This was from creating a text document and one attempt to unlock it from the context menu.

    Hi there.

    From the Unlocker FAQ:
    - Why do my firewall says that Unlocker is trying to connect to the internet? Since Unlocker 1.6.5, during installation you have an option to automatically check for updates. Reinstall Unlocker without this option if you want to turn it off. For those curious Unlocker is only sending "GET /unlocker/version.txt HTTP/1.0\r\nHost: ccollomb.free.fr\r\n" and nothing else.

However try following the instructions in their faq first.
