    Default Microsoft.WindowsSecurityCenter_disabled

Recently, Windows Security Center has been disabled on my computer and I can not determine the cause. I suspect some kind of malware, but I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this?

I have a machine running Windows 7. The only virus/malware proctection on my computer is Spybot Search and Destroy, as well as Microsoft Security Essentials and Windows Defender. But a few days ago, while running spybot I recieved this message:

Microsoft.WindowsSecurityCenter_disabled: [SBI $2E20C9A9] Settings (Registry change, nothing done)
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\wscsvc\Start

Microsoft.WindowsSecurityCenter_disabled: [SBI $2E20C9A9] Settings (Registry change, nothing done)
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\wscsvc\Start
The registry was changed and disabled both Windows Defender and Microsoft Security Essentials. I tried to re-enable these services by running services.msc. But as soon as I re-enable them, they are disabled again. I also tried using regedit.exe, with the same result.

Here is the results of my spybot search:

Microsoft.WindowsSecurityCenter_disabled: [SBI $2E20C9A9] Settings (Registry change, nothing done)

    Hello goose_12,

Did you forget the DDS logs? Please add them to this topic and then I will merge your posts and remove mine.

The FAQ which also includes guidelines for this forum and instructions in post #2 on how to provide the preliminary "DDS" logs used for analysis. http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288

    Cheers.
