Because I understand that you're probably busy, and you don't have to waste time walking me through troubleshooting steps . I could have the computer looked at by an expert if the problem isn't due to malware. I was just hoping it was something that I could get fixed over a couple of days because I have no idea what's wrong with it.

    Hi,

Let's try a couple of more things. First, see if you're able to run a quick scan with MBAM. After that try to run ESET online scanner.

    * Go here to run an online scanner from ESET.
    • Note: You will need to use Internet explorer for this scan
    • Tick the box next to YES, I accept the Terms of Use.
    • Click Start
    • When asked, allow the activex control to install
    • Click Start
    • Make sure that the option Remove found threats is UNchecked and the option Scan unwanted applications is checkmarked.
    • Click Scan
    • Wait for the scan to finish. Copy paste findings back here (if anything found).

Nothing from MBAM, but it ran successfully this time, no hitches. I'm gonna have to run the online scanner later, whenever I get connected to a more stable wireless hotspot, the one I'm at is too slow to keep a constant connection.
