My Windows XP PC has been infected for several weeks.
The redirect virus seems to be building a list of sites or keywords which is now stopping me from accessing sites that give information on removing the redirect virus (so this is being compiled and sent from my Apple Imac!)
Your thoughts and suggestions on how to deal with this will be greatly appreciated.
Additional info: I have tried to download DDS but with no success. The download gets to 99% complete and then hangs.
Next approach?

Preliminary questions in order to try and get a log so that a helper can assist.

Using a clean machine can you download DDS and burn onto a DVD and then run it on the infected machine to produce and post the log?
