The "Cloud Protection" spyware windows are popping up on my brother's computer. We finally get them closed (using Task Manager) but they come back. He ran a McAfee scan which did not detect it. I have Spybot on one of my computers but cannot tell if it is able to recognize the Cloud Protection malware, so I don't know whether to recommend it to my brother.

There are no malware files that he would be able to locate on his own.

Hello vjaan,

It is possible other malware was bundled with this newer variant in the WinAVPro family of rogues.

Someone can take a look at the system if you start a topic in the Malware Removal Forum where a volunteer analyst will advise when available.

If you take that route please see the forum's FAQ first, it includes instructions in post #2 on how to provide DDS logs, which are the logs used for first contact analysis.
