    Default live protection

using Spybot - Search & Destroy 2 with windows 7 64 bit sp1, keep getting the 'Live Protection' box even on programs I have installed and use regularly, ie if I want to play solitaire live protection does its checks 1st, how do I stop it doing this on programs I use on a regular basis?
I appreciate all help and advice

    Default Me Too

    Hey Conrail
I just installed SBSaD 2 beta4 and am wondering the same thing. Hopefully we'll get an answer soon.
I have used SBSaD for many years, just not recently until today. I always like it and trusted it. So far, I very much like the new user interface and additions to what I had become accustomed to.

Best of luck to you using this app in your fight against malware/viruses

    Cheers,

    Default Solution Found

    Hey again, Conrail
I think I found the answer to our issue. Seems to be working for me so far. It was in another thread, answered by dEX2340. Here is what he said.
"Go to Start Center and click on the top blue 'beam'.

There you can disable the 'Live Protection Background Service' by clicking on stop or only unticking the option 'Enable scanning of programs before they start'. "

The blue "beam" is the area at the very top of the window.
    Hope this helps.

    Happy Malware Fighting,

    ok live protection
    it scans every exe clicked.
what is needs is white list, a list in the services page (blue bar)
    that allows me to
    say
    white list, my firefox.exe.

    and if smart? SB then,,,,
at shut down, the pc, scans the white-listed apps.
    cute ,huh?
"so you start clean and end clean, that should be good, esp, with win7

    btw, nice job guys !!!!!!
