With LIVE PROTECTION enabled I can NOT start Mozilla Thunderbird 8.0.0.4326 from ANY link...

It causes a window to pop up with a Title: Shortcut

And the text:

---------------------------
Windows cannot create a shortcut here.

Do you want the shortcut to be placed on the desktop instead?
---------------------------
Yes No
---------------------------

ALSO: When browsing the internet with Firefox 9.0.1 or older versions, clicking on ANY link to E-Mail (mailto:address@site.com) causes the browser to crash.

That said, Disabling Live Protection restores expected behaviors of both Firefox and Thunderbird.

Digging into the crash report it seems Heuristics is the problem...

An EXCEPTION must be made for Thunderbird when mailto: links are clicked, such as on sites like craigslist.org where their function is imperative to use of the site.

Navigating to the Program Files folder directly, while Live Protection is on, allows starting of Thunderbird by clicking on the actual executable... but that is not acceptable.

Please fix Spybot S&D Beta to allow use of mailto links on websites from within Firefox.

Thank You,
RM
