browser unable to start

Hello, Thank you for doing what you do here.
I downloaded arc soft photo impression on my HP laptop, from a web site. What I got was a new browser window
with facemoods.(?) When I was unable to remove it, I ran spybot. Spybot recognized the facemoods
and one other item as malware, highlighted in red. when the scan finished I tried to fix problems.
It seemed to be fixed but the Facemoods was still on my browser. spybot asked to be able to
load with next start up, so I clicked OK.
At next start up spybot began and was stuck on the screen for an hour and a half. I clicked
"stop check." Closed down the laptop. When I started the laptop again the screen is black
with only the spybot frame and another small frame with loading spybot in the background.
there does not seem to be any activity. clicking on these frames does nothing. the mouse curser
turns to an hour glass for a second and then returns to normal.
Help! I am really sorry I tried to download this.

i was able to regain control of my computer by accessing task manager
by an easy access button on screen. i did a system restore.
ran spybot S & D .
Seems like it is working fine now.
