Words by William Whitaker is basically a Latin dictionary program that runs e.g. on http://archives.nd.edu/words.html.

Spybot S&D 1.6.2.46, running on my Windows XP Professional SP3, reports the directory where my local copy of the executable words.exe resides as a Smitfraud-C infection. My machine shows none of the symptoms that are commonly reported as resulting from such an infection, and ClamWin does not detect it as malware.

I can send a zipped version of the directory if that helps, but this may not be reproducible on other machines.

    Hello Jan,

please send us a complete bug report to detections@spybot.info. A zip archive containing the folder in question would be nice as well. Thanks in advance!
