You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D or RunAlyzer to locate and get rid of these entries.
  • Products that have a key or property named "Shopping Sidekick".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Shopping Sidekick\ButtonUtil.dll".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Shopping Sidekick\Shopping Sidekick.exe".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Shopping Sidekick\Shopping Sidekick.ico".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Shopping Sidekick\Shopping Sidekick.ini".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Shopping Sidekick\Shopping Sidekick-bg.exe".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Shopping Sidekick\Shopping SidekickInstaller.log".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Shopping Sidekick\Uninstall.exe".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Shopping.Sidekick uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

  • Delete the registry key "{44444444-4444-4444-4444-440044504458}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
  • Delete the registry key "{55555555-5555-5555-5555-550055505558}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
  • Delete the registry key "{66666666-6666-6666-6666-660066506658}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
  • Delete the registry key "Code" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Shopping Sidekick\".
  • Delete the registry key "Debug" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Shopping Sidekick\".
  • Delete the registry key "Installer" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Shopping Sidekick\".
  • Delete the registry key "Log" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Shopping Sidekick\".
  • Delete the registry key "Manifest" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Shopping Sidekick\".
  • Delete the registry key "OpenSearch" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Shopping Sidekick\".
  • Delete the registry key "Plugins" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Shopping Sidekick\".
  • Delete the registry key "Shopping Sidekick" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
  • Delete the registry key "Update" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Shopping Sidekick\".
  • Delete the registry value "ActiveAppId" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Shopping Sidekick\".
  • Delete the registry value "HelperRunningVersion" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Shopping Sidekick\".
