    Default Servads must die

My computer is infected with the Servads virus, NAV 360 along with SB:S&D cannot seem to delete it (i am running the free version of SB:S&D if it matters). Most forums that i have been to say that the easiest way to get rid of said virus is through the command prompt: Format C. SB has always been my proverbial "ace in the hole" so please help.

    Tashi,

Servads hasn't gone away. I did a complete scan and immunization using Spybot, the results were:

    - Detected Registry key for "Coupon Bar" of Level 5 (their were two of these)
    - Detected File for "Macromedia.Flashplayer.cookies" of Level 5 (their were six of these).

Norton only picked up 18 tracking cookies.

This bug is about as annoying as the ZeroAccess Trojan in terms of seeking/ destroying.

    Best regards

    Hi Deathnyght,

Someone could take a look at the system if you start a topic in the Malware Removal Forum

If you decide to do that please see the forum FAQ which also includes instructions in post #2 on how to provide DDS and aswMBR logs, which are used in the preliminary analysis.
