    Default Spybot 2 and Windows 7, 64-bit

I have loaded the free edition of Spybot S&D version 2 on a new computer running Windows 7, 64-bit. When I open Libraries (windows explorer) and I right click on the C: drives icon in the left window, Windows Explorer crashes. If you go look in the Event Log, Shell32.dll is what crashed. I did some checking around and someone suggested that I use ShellExView and disable shell extensions until I find the culprit. Guess what, it was: Spybot-S&D Explorer Integration.

The computer has the 64-bit version of Windows 7 Pro installed on it with Service Pack 1 and all the updates. The hardware is as follows:
    i7-3770K CPU
    Intel DH77EB motherboard
    2 Kingston KVR16N11H/8 memory modules
    120 GB Intel 520 SSD drive, C:
1 TB Western Digital VelociRaptor drive, F:
    LG GH24LS70 CD/DVD optical drive, D:
    LG BH14NS40 CD/DVD/Blu-ray drive, E:
    Asus ENGT430 graphics card

What's causing Spybot to crash shell32.dll?

    Hello,

We are sorry for the inconvenience. This is a known bug and it has been reported to our development team. A fix will not be available in an update but in a future version. There is no release date yet, as we are still working on it.

This has also been reported in this thread.
