Default 2,600+ infected empty DVD drive

HI! I've seen other threads that report a false positive. I sure got them yesterday! Installed 2.0 and ran a scan. It found over 12,600 infections including keyloggers, trojans, adware, all of them. It found them on my D: drive which is an empty DVD drive. I followed the supposed path of these infections, on my C: drive, not the D: drive. Not there. Did "Everything" searches for the supposed files Spybot found. Not there. In other words, Spybot ran amuck. I'm positive that I don't have 12,600+ infections.

The creators of this program say they don't know why this would happen in other threads about this. I'm just posting to say that the problem is more common than they think. One thread said that this problem would be corrected in the next update. The thread was from years ago, so I think the next update has come and passed and the problem not fixed.

I've used Spybot for years. But, as soon as I post this, I'll remove the program and go back to 1.6, or not bother, until I hear that this has been corrected.

    Thanks!
