    Default Spybot and Lightroom email

I have Lightroom 4.3 and my email (from within Lightroom) stopped working this week, it tells me it 'failed to establish connection with the outgoing email server'. In four years of using Lightroom I've never before seen this problem.
Could Spybot be responsible for this in some way?
I'm thinking it may be Spybot because that's the only thing I've added on my computer this week and suddenly this email facility stopped working.
    Or is it me?

I've attached a snippet from the warning dialogue.

    Hello gazsus,

Did you try posting the issue at the Lightroom community forums? It might be useful to troubleshoot there first.

No, I haven't asked over there yet, though I did search for any known email issues on the forum but couldn't find anything relevant.
    I'll have another look.

After much faffing about and running around the internet like a headless chicken, I managed to nail down the problem. It's related to the 2 step verification from Google which I started using last week. In order to get email working in Lightroom I had to create a one-off password to prove it was me who was trying to access it.
