    Default Widgi Toolbar

I found something spybot was unable to remove. Widgi toolbar. http://www.wiki-security.com/wiki/Parasite/WidgiToolbar

this is the first time I've encountered something that spybot could not remove.

looks like I have to do some registry work to manually remove this bugger?

just thought id mention this, perhaps it's something spybot could add for future updates? just a thought.

How do you knew you have this on your computer?

    Hello macgig,

If an item flagged is particularly stubborn running Spybot in safe mode might help as you'd have access to only basic files and drivers, whereas when the machine is operating in normal mode all processes are running.

Scanning in safe mode allows the program to try and remove items that keep reappearing after a scan, despite having been 'fixed'.

Also have you looked for the toolbar via Start > Control Panel > Uninstall a program.

    Best regards.

I got a message to run spybot in admin mode. even though I'm logged in as admin? so I did that and it worked. running in admin mode did the trick. spyware was removed.

Thank you for letting us know macgig.

    FYI:
How can I get administrator rights under Windows Vista / Windows 7 / Windows 8?

    Cheers.
