Spybot doesn't recognise user as an Administrator

I downloaded & ran Spybot for the first time today after getting popups asking me to do a survey on practically every website that I went to.

Some malware was detected but I was only able to fix a couple of the problems as
Spybot claimed that my user account in Windows needed to be elevated to Administrator in order to remove the remaining problems.

There is only one user account on my machine and it is an Administrator. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be the problem.
